IIT JAM 2026-27 Cutoff: Result, Category and subject-wise cutoff

The official notification for IIT JAM 2027 has not yet been released. However, it is expected to be released in August 2023. The application form will also be released in the same month. The exam is likely to be held in February 2024.

• IIT, Kanpur has released separate IIT JAM Cutoff for General, OBC and SC/ST test takers.
• Along with the overall IIT JAM Cutoff, conducting authority will also release the subject-wise cut-offs on the official website.
• Cut off for the exam is based on the difficulty level of exam, a number of vacant positions, the total number of appearing candidates, last year cut off trend and average marks obtained by candidates in IIT JAM exam.

• Qualifying marks for general category candidates in Physics was 19.51 while for SC/ ST/ PWD, it was 9.76. For Physics exam, approx 11900 candidates appeared in the exam.
• In Chemistry, cutoff marks for General Category test takers are 14.79 and 7.39 for SC/ST/PWD. For Chemistry Paper of IIT JAM 2026-27, about 11510 candidates appeared.
• In Mathematics, cutoff marks for General Category was 23.35 and for SC/ST/PWD candidates was 11.68.

IIT JAM 2026-27 Admission Process

Only qualified candidates can apply for IIT JAM Admission procedure 2026-27. Candidateshave to apply by using their enrolment ID and password on the official website. Such candidates have to register on the website for admission. All the information regarding admission will be uploaded on the candidate’s login ID for which paper they have applied in the JAM entrance exam. Candidates must have a list of programs and the choice list for which they want to apply.
